Jamul Casino Resort is a gaming and entertainment destination just 20 miles east of downtown San Diego. In 2025, a 253,951 square foot hotel featuring 200 rooms, an event center, multi-purpose hall, rooftop terrace, pool and spa was constructed adjacent to the existing three-story casino.
Enclos provided design-build services for the 16-story hotel’s 126,921 square feet of facade. Its primary enclosure is a highly glazed unitized curtainwall system with vertical fins, louvers and metal panels. Enclos was enlisted during design development to optimize the envelope’s performance, cost-efficiency and constructability as part of a design-assist contract, providing all design, structural and thermal engineering services in house.

The design-assist process concluded with a full-scale visual mockup incorporating glazing, fins and metal panels confirming design intent.
At 205 feet tall, its skin utilizes a combination of low iron, tempered, and heat strengthened glass in laminated and insulated applications. Low-e coatings selectively manage solar heat gain and ultraviolet rays from the region’s near year-round sunshine. Typical modules span 5’ wide by 10’ 3” tall, with the largest unit 22’ in height. The tower’s east elevation features a bold 10-story fritted glass logo. Enclos provided a full-scale visual mockup to confirm materials and finishes.

Field crews installed curtainwall units on day and night shifts to meet the project’s aggressive schedule.
Following design-assist, Enclos was contracted to procure and install the hotel’s five enclosure systems. Components were sourced from the firm’s global network of pre-qualified vendor partners and assembled in an environmentally controlled shop. At the project site, our operations team managed a tight jobsite with even tighter sequencing requirements. Curtainwall units were shipped from overseas to an offsite location, then transferred to the jobsite on a just-in-time basis, where units were picked by a tower crane and set in place by field crews.

Enclos’ scope also included integrated balconies, glass handrails and a pedestrian skybridge, in addition to 1,422 square feet of handset composite panels cladding elevator and parking structures.
The Jamul Casino Resort is LEED Certified by the U.S. Green Building Council.
