MGM Grand

The MGM Grand Las Vegas is the largest single hotel in the United States, with 6,852 rooms. At the time of completion in 1993, it was the largest hotel complex in the world. Currently, the Grand sits as the third-largest hotel complex in the world and second in the United States behind The Venetian Resort Las Vegas.

Enclos’ scope included the preinstallation of aluminum window frames into the precast panels for 1,000,000 square feet of the building enclosure. The preinstallation of these two systems into one unit was the key to the project’s delivery. Special boxing of the glass, which allowed for the team to hoist them into place along with the precast floor slabs, also contributed to meeting this accelerated schedule.
