Alex Hansche to Present at Facade Tectonics 2026 World Congress

Wednesday, September 2, 2026

Join Enclos at the Facade Tectonics 2026 World Congress in Pittsburgh from September 28-October 2 to discuss innovation in the art, science and technology of the building facade.

On Wednesday, September 30, Enclos Senior Project Manager Alex Hansche will present “Occupied Reclads: Integrating Design, Access, and Delivery for Facade Retrofits,” examining how construction planning, access requirements, installation sequencing, anchorage strategies, building operations, and surrounding site conditions influence facade design decisions long before construction begins. Drawing on a recent tower retrofit at 1585 Broadway in New York’s Time Square, the session will explore three facade intervention strategies implemented within a single occupied building: a full podium curtainwall replacement, the integration of new and existing curtainwall systems at executive terraces, and a custom reglazing solution that repurposed existing framing to improve daylighting and building performance.

Following the presentation, Alex will participate in a panel discussion moderated by Michelle Neary of Gensler, who co-leads the firm’s northeast region building envelope group.
