Generates drawings for curtainwall systems using Inventor, Revit, and AutoCAD in a collaborative office setting.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Creates curtainwall system fabrication drawings, based on project shop drawings, utilizing Autodesk Inventor.
  • Creates curtainwall system details and elevations with direction from a Production Designer.
  • Produces curtainwall field drawings including embed layouts, anchor and mullion layouts, unit and part tag, etc. using Autodesk Revit.
  • Utilizes CAD filing systems and directory structure established for established project.
  • Participates in project engineering team meetings.
  • Provides assistance and information to other project team members field, project management, fabricators, suppliers, etc. as required.
  • Opportunities to learn a varieties of CAD programs, visual programming, assembly animations, and industry practices.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled or recently graduated from an accredited college with study emphasis in Architectural Drafting or Engineering.
  • Ability to read architectural or mechanical drawings and blueprints.
  • Must be proficient in Word Processing software, spreadsheet software and Internet software. Must be proficient in either Inventor, Revit, and/or AutoCAD.

Schedule

Must be able to work at least 30 hours a week between the hours of 7am-5pm, Monday through Friday, in the corporate office located at 2770 Blue Water Road, Eagan, MN 55121.

Duration

This is a twelve-week assignment with the potential and intent to become a permanent full-time position with competitive pay.

Benefits

Internship status position is not eligible for benefits, holiday pay, or Flexible Time Off FTO. Full benefits will become available once the position is transferred to a permanent status.
